FOR AGENCY PRINCIPALS · PROPOSED OFFICE MODEL

Lead your agency.
Build with W.

Your local expertise. Direct founder access. Explore W brand, marketing and property workflows around an independently operated, appropriately licensed agency.

Start with a fit conversation and a written scope. Any office arrangement requires its own confirmed terms and permissions.

THREE STAGES

Start with the place.
Then establish the path.

01

Introduce your agency

Tell W the proposed location, your agency background and the support you want to explore. A general brief is enough to begin.

02

Shape a practical first project

Choose one useful marketing or property-workflow outcome. Agree the scope, responsibilities, costs and timetable with the founder.

03

Review, then choose what’s next

Review actual work and activity. If the office model is right for you, complete its local checks, disclosures and separate agreement before operating.

PROPOSED DIVISION OF WORK

Marketing support.
Local agency leadership.

W BRAND & MARKETING OPERATOR

Support the agency’s presentation.

  • Agreed brand materials and marketing templates.
  • Marketing information and campaign support within the agreed scope.
  • Evidence and approval for W’s own claims, systems and publications.

W would retain the legal duties attached to its own activities. Any expansion into regulated services requires a fresh review.

LOCAL AGENCY ENTITY & REQUIRED HEAD

Operate and supervise locally.

  • Verified entity and individual permissions for each service and location.
  • Client appointments, regulated property work and legally required supervision.
  • Applicable trust-money controls, insurance, records, complaints and AML/CTF arrangements.

The agency entity and relevant statutory supervisor have separate duties. A person’s licence or office-head title does not authorise every entity, service or branch.

This proposed allocation cannot waive statutory duties or make one person responsible for every participant’s conduct. W, the agency and its head each retain the responsibilities imposed by law. Consumer rights and applicable good-faith duties remain effective.

BEFORE ANY OFFICE OPENS

Each location needs
its own review.

Franchise classification & disclosure

The actual controls, brand and payments determine whether franchise rules apply. Calling the arrangement marketing support does not decide its legal status. Required information, disclosure, register and timing steps must be completed where applicable.

ACCC: when the Code applies

State, territory & agency permissions

Check the local entity, individuals, service categories, supervisor and branch requirements. Victoria requires the relevant agency entity permissions and effective control; other jurisdictions have their own rules. NSW corporation licensing is a separate example.

NSW: corporation licensing example

AML/CTF & information handling

Covered Australian real-estate services have AML/CTF obligations from 1 July 2026. Assess each participant’s actual services, enrolment, program, due diligence and reporting duties, plus privacy and secure information handling.

Country-entry & launch readiness

Choose the country and local jurisdiction before assessing agency, franchise, consumer, tax, privacy and advertising rules. Australia’s documents cannot approve a US, UK or New Zealand office. Obtain location-specific advice and evidence.

EIGHT TEMPLATES · ONE WORKBOOK

Prepare the questions.
Build the evidence.

Read the official information statement first.

For a prospective Australian franchisee, the ACCC explains the information statement and its required delivery before other franchise documents. This public link and W’s planning workbook do not replace the statutory delivery, disclosure or advice process.
