RESEARCH INTO A BETTER START

What agents buy
when they join a network.

Twenty leading brand and operating models reveal a common exchange: local production in return for brand, systems, support and connections.

Compare like with like.

These are ten selected Australian models and ten worldwide models, rather than an audited size or quality ranking. Some brands share a parent. Office franchises and cloud brokerages sell different relationships; fees belong to the named country, date and programme.

A private or unpublished fee means you need a written quote. It does not mean free. Network costs are separate from individual agent compensation, advertising, premises and other operating expenses.

HOW THEY MAKE MONEY AND GROW

Three businesses.
Different economics.

BRAND OWNER

Scale the system.

Joining fees, recurring dues and royalties can fund the brand and support. New offices, independent-agency conversions, retained members and higher production grow the base. Marketing funds can carry separate obligations.

LOCAL PRINCIPAL

Build a productive office.

The agency earns commissions and management fees, then pays agents, upstream fees, staff and operations. Recruitment alone is insufficient: productive listings, retained clients and controlled servicing costs matter.

INDIVIDUAL AGENT

Choose support that pays its way.

An agent evaluates compensation, deductions, prospects, daily tools and support. Cloud models can cap company commission and reward eligible referrals, while recurring and transaction costs still apply.

What W takes from the research

A useful first outcome.

W starts with your existing agency: a clearer property page, a private workflow and a scoped review. You can inspect the tools and save a free plan before considering paid work.

A price you can evaluate.

Proposed $149/month and optional $990 setup are service prices, with included time and a written scope. They are not a brokerage split or a substitute for a licensed agency’s operating costs.

A small, accountable relationship.

W is led by one founder. A versioned proposal, allocated onboarding tasks and a factual first-project review make the relationship visible. Two concurrent onboarding/first projects limit overload.

Earn the next step.

Relevant demonstrations and useful first projects can create trust, repeat use and permissioned referrals. W makes no claim of national reach, lead volume or earnings. Growth depends on work that members choose to keep using.
